Home-based Business – First Show

Just had my first lia sophia jewelry show – “Bling and Bellini’s to benefit Dress for Success.” I was extremely appreciative of the friends who came to support this first one. Two guests won beautiful pieces of Lia Sophia collectable jewelry, and together, we raised $120.00 to donate to Dress for Success. It was fun to see the reactions to the jewelry (everyone was excited) and confirmed my choice of lia sophia over the other direct selling companies. See below for my Bellini recipe – they were delicious!

Bellini Recipe

Puree 6 white peaches in a food processor, as well as a bag of frozen raspberries. Cover tightly and refrigerate until party time. Place two tablespoons of peaches in the bottom of a tall champagne flute, followed by a teaspoon of the raspberry puree. Fill glass with well chilled Asti Spumante. Serve immediately.

Week 1 in the life of my new home-based business! My Lia Sophia starter kit arrived, and I had fun unpacking the beautiful jewelry and watching the training videos. The training covers every aspect of the business and can be viewed at your own convenience from home, which makes getting up to speed extremely easy.

I scheduled my starter show (going to donate the proceeds to Dress for Success) and am looking for fairs where I can display the jewelry, host a raffle, and find new contacts interested in hosting a party.

Any readers with home party businesses? Any tips for myself and others working to get started? I would love to hear from you.

Are you thinking about hosting a home party, but not sure what to serve your guests? Keep it simple. Consider offering one signature drink in addition to soda or iced tea – Sangria is delicious and a little different, or hurricanes are also a great summer tropical choice. For an evening after-dinner get together, most of your guests will have had dinner and won’t be too hungry. Suggest offering one appetizer for those who need a bit more substance, (check out the Pillsbury Crescent appetizers – all delicious and easy – just a few ingredients needed) one “chips and dip” and one dessert.
